Strange Divorce Stories

]]>
Over the years there have been some strange stories of divorce, including some humorous reasons why people are seeking a separation from their partner. Here are some of the strangest divorce stories.
STRANGE DIVORCE STORIES
We’ve all heard of couples splitting their assets after a divorce. But most don’t split them quite as literally as a couple in Cambodia in 2008. With some of his family and friends, the husband, who suspected his wife had been cheating on him, sawed their house in half.
A woman filed for divorce because her husband was eating too much. She claimed that by doing so he was committing a crime, and she didn’t want to be his accomplice.
A man filed for divorce claiming he was allergic to his wife’s sweat. When tests were performed it proved to be untrue.
In Long Island in the United States, a man filed for divorce claiming his wife had threatened him with a Samurai sword. Bizarrely the court did not deem this serious enough to grant the divorce for this reason, but did on other more common grounds.
In Saudi Arabia a man divorced his wife immediately after their wedding ceremony because his new wife’s (and soon to be former wife) brother took a photograph of the couple together. No entirely sure why he had an objection to this.
A Saudi Arabian woman filed for divorce after her new husband left her at an airport because she’d been on the toilet for too long. The couple were returning from their honeymoon in Malaysia when he returned home from Kuala Lumpur airport because she had been in the bathroom for too long. I’m not sure how long constitutes too long and an acceptable reason to leave without her.
STRANGE DIVORCE CUSTOMS
To get divorced Eskimos simply have to stop living together and they are no longer married. Now that’s a lot simpler than our way.
Divorce can be difficult for Aboriginal women in Australia. She must convince her husband to agree and divorce her. There is one more simple way out though – marry someone else. They are able to do this even when already married. This will simply dissolve the existing marriage.
Divorce was very much a family thing in ancient Chinese times. It was usual for women to leave their families (and no longer have contact with them) when they married and become part of their new husband’s families. If women wanted to divorce they could only do so if their family would agree to take them back. If he wanted to divorce though, a man needed his family to disapprove the behaviour of his wife. However it was simpler if he was divorcing on the grounds of adultery.
In ancient times in Turkey men had to agree to provide coffee for their wives. If they failed to she could divorce him.

Refinancing after a Divorce January 15, 2011 No Comments
The divorce was amicable on the surface, but you’re seething and hurting inside. After the dust has settled, you’ll find yourself staring into space, wondering what do with the rest of your life. At least you still have the house – that’s for starters on the road to sanity.
Jumpstart your race
Divorcing couples have to contend with several problems before an amicable settlement is reached. One thorny issue is the home. Women in different difficult circumstances are always concerned about their homes and the decrease in their standard of living by 45%.
Knowing your rights and limitations to the home shared with your husband for years can jumpstart your bid for a roof over your head, stability and security for yourself and your children. Your efforts will downplay the emotional upheavals you are riding on.
Property – both yours or just his?
During the divorce process, stay level-headed. You owe it to yourself and your kids to stay calm while calculating how much you can salvage from your divorce.
Your first target should be your home, not shopping until you drop just to forget the pain and the blow to your self-esteem. If you bought the house together and a year later got a refinance home loan, you will be wondering what in Adam’s name are you going to do?
If the mortgage is in your name alone, but the title and the deed to the house are both in your names, the court will simply divide the marital property and your debt. One will stay in the house and the other gets some loot elsewhere. He could get the car, the grandfather clock, and the dog.
But if the house was bought by your mate before you got married, that house is his and unless he gave it to you as a gift and had your name in the title and the deed, then it is rightfully yours. What to do now if it is still in his name?
Your husband can kick you out, it his house; you can stay there until he does. But if you contributed to the mortgage payments, you are entitled to some of the equity and the courts will also allow you to live in the house for a period.
It is the same story when the situation is reversed. Better still get a lawyer to avoid the legal loopholes regarding your situation and the possibilities for a refinance home loan considering the pickle you’re in.
Preparing for a future without him with refinance home loan
If you are getting a refinance home loan to start a home business, you can try making your own fruity facial treatments or grow choice vegetables all year round. In-between you can specialize in children’s parties if you love to cook.
Check out the business ideas online for a match to your capabilities and your capital investment. As always, you need the discipline and the drive to survive on your own after the break-up. A refinance home loan will give you the break towards financial freedom and security.
You’ll be surprised at the turn of events. Life begins, you’re single again, and financially and emotionally on the mend.

How Adultery Statistics Affect Divorce

]]>
Adultery statistics are hard to come by, especially honest and controlled statistics. According to the electronic article “Adultery: Statistics on Cheating Spouses,” published by Eagle’s Nest Publications, “60-70 percent of adultery victims are women” while “30-40 percent of adultery victims are men.” Adultery is usually one of the top reasons cited for divorce and with modern technology and readily available sex partners, it doesn’t seem like this trend will slow any time soon.
The definition of adultery is consensual sexual intercourse with a partner that is not your husband or wife. According to the 2003 United Nations World Fertility Reports, 89% of all women and men get married by the age of 49. However, not all marriages follow the monogamy rule. Anthropological studies have reported that 80-85% of societies allowed polygamous marriage. It is a well-known fact that the early Mormons practiced Polygamy. However, most men in societies are not able to afford multiple wives so the average societal marriage involves one man and one woman.
Adultery stories have been a part of history since the beginning of time. Adultery is clearly forbidden in the seventh commandment of the Ten Commandments and is punishable by death. Jesus preached it was a sin. However, in the past, only a married woman engaging in sex with another man counted as adultery in which case both the woman and the man were considered guilty. Nevertheless, this attitude has spread to married men who are now looked down upon and may be punished by laws if they cheat on their wives.
In some cultures, the punishment for adultery results in the death penalty, some penalties being as brutal has stoning the guilty party to death. In various countries adultery is illegal and in the United States adultery laws vary from state to state.
When a person files for divorce on the grounds of adultery, they must provide as much proof as possible to prove the validity of the affair. If the divorce is contested, then it is up to the accusing party to provide dates, times and any other admissible evidence.
Adultery can affect the negotiation of the divorce process by setting off hurt, anger and resentment. Infidelity most affects divorce in the negotiation process. Rarely does infidelity fail to set off negative and painful emotions from the cheated on party.
Unfortunately, adultery seems to be a part of our society. Whether we decide to partake in it or work on trying to keep it out of our lives, it is a personal decision we choose and we must live with the consequences.

Adultery Criminal Laws and Their Effects
Adultery is also known as philandery or infidelity is basically a form of extramarital sex. Originally it referred to sex between a married woman and another person other than her spouse. Illegal in some countries, its difference from rape is that while rape involves use of force; adultery is voluntary. Having a Judeo-Christian origin, the concept is present in almost all religious factions of the world.

Fixing A Marriage After Adultery: Tips And Advice That Might Help
I get a lot of correspondence from people who ask me if it’s possible to fix or save their marriage after adultery. Sometimes, I’m contacted by the person who committed the adultery. And other times, I’m contacted by the faithful spouse who doesn’t want to let this destroy their marriage. My opinion and experience is that yes, marriages survive adultery every single day. It isn’t always immediate or easy. There are usually many compromises and a lot of discomfort. But, it can be done.

Divorce and collapse of the intra-familial relations in patients who suffer from Tinnitus, Vertigo, Dizziness or Meniere’s Disease
Posted: Oct 26, 2009 |
]]>
The common denominator of Tinnitus, Vertigo, Dizziness and Meniere’s Disease sufferers is the “healthy appearance” of the patient. Many of the patients are jealous of suffers who can show their wound, x-rays film of fracture in the leg or abnormal ECG.
Such a condition, when a patient complains that he is suffering but people around him do not understand what it means is a source of stress in the family. When the inter-familial relations include unhealthy patterns of communication, the stress increases the events of misunderstanding.
In some of the families it is impossible to prevent the separation of the parents, and the children are becoming the victims of the stormy divorce process. Statistical data is not available, but tragic cases of families that collapsed are well known.
The story of Dalia and Dave is a typical case. Dalia lives in the central part of Israel, and came for treatment after two years of suffering. Experts of ENT did not help. In spite of her medical condition Dalia continued to work as a manager in a Hi-Take (Medium size) company, and received many complements from from here employers. Her husband, Dave, worked in another Hi-Take company, but was fired repeatedly. The couple has two children who attend elementary school. Although Dave was fired from work, the couple succeeded in providing their children with all their materialistic requirements.
Dalia, who is known to be a serious, hard working lady – did her best to follow my instructions, and after a time, she found relief in her Tinnitus. She felt better from month to month.
Unfortunately, along with the regression of her symptoms, Dave became irritable, chronic complainer, dominant and unable to show empathy to Dalia. Dalia tried to save her marriage by going to marital consultation, vacations with Dave and attempts to help him find a new job. Dave was not cooperative.
Their eldest son started suffering from frequent asthmatic attacks. Dalia and Dave knew their relations have an impact on the emotional condition of their asthmatic son, but Dave did not change his behavior.
Dalia realized that she could no longer be flexible, and decided to talk openly with Dave about the future of their marriage. Dave (most probably) as his last attempt to be the leader of the family, claimed that he objects changes, and that they have to decide about one of two options: continuing the marital relations as it was up till now, or divorce.
The choice was up to Dalia. Dalia did not wait -The choice to divorce was immediate. The process of separation was hard. Although Dave promised to enable the divorce, he deliberately created many obstacles on the way to the promised separation. Finally the process was finished and the family was disintegrated.
What is the association between Dalia’s Tinnitus and the divorce? It is unclear. The personality of Dave is very rigid. He was unable to regulate his behavior according to the social and familial circumstances. Dave was used to control his sick wife. She was weak, hard working, good tempered, accepting his commands and trying to satisfy his wishes. When she recovered, she changed. She came back to her own pre-morbid personality and started to see her own psychological needs, but Dave could not understand it. He wanted to control the family life.
When Dalia was sick and needed support and empathy, he could not identify these psychological needs in her. His functioning as a loving husband included taking her with the family car to the clinic, and that was all. He could not express any emotions regarding the hard times that she is experiencing during the sever Tinnitus.
When Dalia recovered and wanted to discuss all these issues, she realized that separation from him is not a big loss for her. After all, when she experienced the biggest distress of her life she did not receive the psychological support that she expected from him.
The separation of Dalia from Dave is not a typical outcome of all the families of patients who suffer from Tinnitus. In many of the families it was the exact opposite: all the family showed unity in giving support to the patient, and following the recovery the bond grew stronger then before.

Prescription sunglasses works when summer comes
What has left a deep impression on you during the whole summer days? I believe that there are some different answers, but warm shine must have been the most impressive. It will be so good if the warm sunshine is to the perfection. However, most of us may be at a loss when the sunlight is so strong. If do like that, we have to provide our eyes with adequate protection when going out. Otherwise, our eyes may not bear such strong UV radiation.

Select Eyeglass Frames to Fit You Well
When you go shopping for eyeglasses, there are some factors that you need to take them into considerations. Buying glasses is easy but how to select eyeglass frames that suit you well is not easy. It seems to look for a needle in the hay stack. Although it is an exaggeration, we indeed feel confused when facing lots of choices. Anyhow, your selected glasses will be suitable if you have a full consideration.

What is the cause of vertigo: The disease or the treatment?
More then 300 medications that are approved for treatment of various medical conditions, may cause vertigo, dizziness or both. An exacerbation in vertigo or dizziness can be another side effect of these drugs. The physician who prescribes the medication can not predict the effect on the vestibular system of his patient, if it is the first time that his patients takes this drug. Furthermore: a medication that was innocent in the past, may cause imbalance symptoms in advanced age.

Patients suffering from Vertigo are referred to a very comprehensive investigation in out-patient clinics of Otolaryngology, or, if admitted to a hospital-in Ear Nose and Throat departments. The main question is the possibility of having structural abnormality in the vestibular system with indication for surgery.
When all the relevant tests are within the normal range, most probably, the Doctor will say: “There is nothing to do” or “you have to live with it”.

Seeking a divorce. Need advice and some opinions from people that do not know me and read my story. Help Me? January 13, 2011 6 Comments
Legally married my best friend (partnership marriage) & now, in love with a younger man. Husband and I married because we were friends and cared about each other very much. I delayed the wedding two years in hopes that something happened, but nothing did. We became closer as friends. We tried being sexually intimate but, it was never something that we could do. When I say, we tried. We tried everything. He was happy with porn and I was just busy with life so we were both fine. Time passed, I became interested in the internet and chatting. Made several friends of both genders. While playing cards one night, I met this young man; who was mean and foul mouthed but there was something about him. Me and my girlfriends decided to flirt a bit with him, I had a single friend who I at the time was trying to match with someone. I got to talking to this man and flirted a bit. Trying to get him interested to match him up with my girlfriend. Well, I became latched on to him My friends left and it was just me and him talking for hours on end. Day after day we talked and talked. I took a vacation from the net because I felt I was getting too close to him and this scared me. But when I came back he was there, we exchanged #’s and then talked some more. Maybe 6 months passed we decided to meet in person. When I parked my car to meet him panic set in and I wanted to leave. He had never seen me, I had lied about my appearance, my marital status what was I doing here? I had given him my friends life with my career it was a mess. He persuaded me. We met. Within a few minutes meeting we knew we were in love. What a mess I thought. Now what? Time passed, I told him everything slowly. He still wanted me. I was shocked! He came to live with me for a while. My husband lives with me but like I said, we are friends nothing more. We lived in the same household. I wanted to leave my husband. I wanted a life with him but he didn’t want me. Told me that this was all he could give me. That he was not big on commitment so that this worked with him. It broke my heart every time. And I lived per his words. Let’s live a day at time, when I would ask, about our future it became a fight. I thought. Maybe he is doing this because I was not upfront with him initially. For about 4 years. I pushed to be together. He pushed back with excuses as to why I had not met his family, his friends, why every time he was in town it was he with my family, my friends, my place. Never his, even when I was in his town we stayed far from his place and his friends and family. This hurt me badly and I tried to reason but thought, I love him too much, I supported him emotionally and financially throughout. I will take it. Last year, I had a freak incident that happened. Took me months to recover. He was not there for me. Would cut off my calls, say he was sleepy and or tired. I found out he was seeing another girl. Slept with her and had introduced her as his girlfriend to his family and his friends. I was ready to let go. I was dealing with some emotional things due to my freak incident and had given up. I cried for weeks. During this time I went to his area for a funeral with my family. He said he would go and met with me. I was so desperate for his touch and love I slept with him even though he was with another girl. Besides who was I to judge? I was legally married. I turned all my focus on me. All of it. I took care of me and nothing or anyone else. After I returned home, he decided to break it off with the girl. I didn’t know what to do. I had already let him go in my mind. We slowly began to meld again. We got back together. Now, it has been about 6 years we have been together. I have not met his friends nor family. He’s hinting of me leaving my husband. I want to leave him. I know I can but, I have many fears. Husband is nice, sweet man. We are not sexually intimate nor have ever been. I mean we tried that route. Didn’t work. He is someone that is like a very close friend. I do love him and care for him. But not the type of love that you have for someone romantically. Like a brother. My lover. I love deeply but I have so many questions. I am leaving a lot out. But this is the juicy part of my story. Please, tell me what you think. Good or Bad. Just please, not mean.

How A parenting Ebook Helped Me After My Divorce

Have you ever bought a parenting eBook before? I can guarantee you that you have never seen one like this before.
If you are reading this then you have a desire to cure a problem you are having with your child. Well, I am not a professional therapist, doctor, psychologist or anyone else with a 6 year college degree. I am just a regular guy from Pennsylvania, with a 14 year old daughter. I would like to share this story with you.
My wife and I got divorced a few years ago and I needed some help getting through to my daughter.I don’t know if you have ever been divorced, but it can have devastating effects on your children. Anyways, I needed help. My daughter wouldn’t talk to me anymore. When she was at my house all she did was act up and disobey. The problems were worse than this but I am not going to go into any more detail. Needless to say, this was not the daughter I raised for the last 12 years. I soon found out that the same problems I was having with her, my ex-wife was too. Even though we weren’t together anymore, we both love our daughter very much and were at our whits end as to what to do. We wanted to help her before the effects became everlasting.
In case you don’t already know this, professional therapy can be very expensive. I was left with no choice but to try to figure out what to do without professional help. I did what you are doing right now, searching the net for any and all advice I could get. I bought a couple of books and didn’t have any luck getting through to my little girl. I was becoming very frustrated.
Then, while speaking to one of the ladies at my job about my frustrations regarding my daughter, she mentioned this book and how it helped her with her kids. I knew that if it had helped her with her kids, there was no way in this world that this book couldn’t help me. ( her kids were pure terrors compared to my daughter )
With this book I learned how to communicate better with my daughter. I learned how to deal with her emotions and learned ways to show her that I respect her. I learned that by getting her more involved by asking her open ended questions, allowed for better communication. This book taught me how to deal with her feelings. She, as so many children do, felt like it was her fault that her mother and I separated. By being able to have a better line of communication with her, I was eventually able to make her understand that it wasn’t her fault at all and reassure her that both of us loved her very much.
She also went through a stage where it was either my fault or her mothers fault that we separated. This was a very touchy subject for me. There were a couple of reasons for my divorce. I worked too much, which in turn left my wife lacking in attention. She in turn sought attention from another man. I couldn’t tell my daughter that it was all my wife’s fault, because it wasn’t. Even though she was the one who broke the vows of matrimony, I wasn’t there for her the way she needed me to be. (this I learned in therapy afterwords) Anyways, with the help of this book I was able to explain to her pretty easily that sometimes people just grow apart and even though they still may care about each other, they just can’t continue the relationship. The conversation wasn’t that short, but if I hadn’t read this book, I would have just blamed my wife and been done with it. You can’t do that with children. There is a whole section in this book dedicated to divorce, and how to help your children deal with it. And it was also nice to have the email support system they offer as well.
Anyways, it has been 8 months since I bought this book and my little girl is back to “normal” for a 14 year old. She still thinks she’s going on 30. If you know what I mean. The point being, I now have a better relationship with my daughter than I had before my divorce. We talk about everything (except boys), and there is no more acting out. Both her mother and I have a better relationship with her.

Swing Sets Encourage Free Play and Foster Healthy Child Development
In many communities, it isn’t uncommon for parents to load their children’s schedules with extracurricular activities that they feel can enrich the children’s experience and knowledge. What often becomes overlooked in this scenario is the child’s need for free play. Free play can come in any shape or form, but parents who wish to help encourage free play can provide children with tools to assist. Backyard swing sets are one of the most motivating tools children can use for free play.
