Tell them he chose to go away and you don’t know why. End of story.

Just tell them the truth. Children know more than the adults around them think they do. And having the truth is a lot better than what their imaginations can come up with.

You don’t have to go into long, nasty details. Just tell them that he and the aunt are divorcing and that he is moving away.

just have an open discussion with them about this, kids are more adapdable than you think.

Openly talk to them about the situation. Children need to be able to ask questions to understand, and may not fully understand, but they will ask the questions that make the situation make sense in their heads. They also need to feel like it isn’t their fault. Best of Luck

Be honest and tell them the truth cause any gossip they may hear will only make things worse for them.Kids should hear the truth so maybe one day they can make better life decisions. With any luck they will have fewer problem than what their parents and relatives had.

I wish I could help You there, I was on the oposite end of the line here I havent seen my nieces and nephews in over a year and its killing me, I loved them as if they were my own. I saw one of my nieces at a wal-mart one day, and she started running to me, and he Mom stoped her, turned and walked away… God that hurt! So why does he have to stay away forever? If he is close to the children, why not set up visits or something?

And the major upheaval is what? All you have to say is that the uncle and aunt are no longer married. End of story. There is nothing to explain.
